Global Warming: “Feeling hot hot hot” with Al Gore – An Inconvenient Truth

Al Gore’s, “An Inconvenient Truth” is nothing short of a slap in the face. The bottom line is: If the vast majority of the world's scientists are right, we have just 10 years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tail-spin of epic destruction involving extreme weather, floods, droughts, epidemics and killer heat waves beyond anything we have ever experienced.

If that sounds like ingredients for a movie of dispair – think again!

This documentary, although alarming, offers a passionate and inspirational perspective on global warming with this underlying message: We Can Make A Difference!

Global warming is the observed increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades. The main cause of the human-induced component of warming is the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide (CO2) due to activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing, and agriculture.

An increase in global temperatures can in turn cause other changes, such as a rising sea level and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. These changes may increase the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. The record number of tornadoes in the Midwest, the torrential flooding in Mumbai, India, and Hurricane Katrina all in one year gives realistic evidence of this – But there is much more!

If you want the scientific facts:

If you want a realistic, scientifically supported look into the future of disappearing rivers, disappearing species, disappearing rainforests and disappearing cities:

If you want to know what you can do:

This is the movie for you!

Although in documentary form, critic MaryAnn Johanson explains, “If all lectures were as engaging as this movie, you would graduate from university with top grades, as Gore manages to keep your attention throughout the movie.”
