Wii-kends
will never be the same: Nintendo Wii takes on the world
Two
years ago Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, hinted at the concept of Wii
stating,
“The key here is
not what you are playing, but how you’ll be playing it.”
Two years later, with it’s new-age, motion-sensitive controller,
Nintendo Wii is like no other game console on the market; so for Sony
and Microsoft the heat is on!
The Wii’s wireless remote
can be used as a pointer, and can detect motion and rotation in
three dimentions! It can be used as a tennis raquet, boxing gloves,
a golf club a baseball bat and more.
Gone are the days of associating gaming with being cramped in the corner
of a bedroom, alone in darkness. The Wii seems adament in making console
gaming more social, immersive and most importantly – more fun that
it has ever been!
With 4 million sold by the end of 2006– Nintendo Wii is hot property!
